When I purchased the tl-922 it came with a generous supply of spare Eimac 3-500z's (Lucky me!) that were rotated yearly by the original owner of the amp. I have some prior experience with restoring a Kenwood TL-922 to operating condition that was damaged by lightning, and I learned a lot in that process. I have seen some information on the web regarding converting these to single and double Russian GI-7B and GI-7BT ceramic tubes, but I was wondering if anyone had ever converted one of these to run a Single 3-500z. Hi everyone - I have a Amp Supply LA-1000-NT that is mostly in operating condition but I would like to convert it to another kind of tube in the effort to improve the design a bit.
